Be found and chosen
Practices with complete, accurate pages rank higher in our local comparisons and convert better when owners are deciding who to call.
Published price lists are about to be mandatory. Be the practice that's ready.
The CMA's final decision (March 2026) requires every practice to publish a standard price list of 36 defined services on its own website, one click from the homepage — large groups within about three months of the Order (expected around December 2026), all other practices within about six months (around March 2027). Prescription fees are capped at £21 from 2027, and practice data will be collected centrally by the RCVS from 2027.
VetCost already shows pet owners a price table for every practice. Claimed practices can fill theirs in today, in the CMA's own categories, so the page pet owners compare shows your figures rather than a blank.
We don't sell compliance tooling — you can publish your list for free on your own site and several suppliers offer free templates. What VetCost gives you is the audience that's already comparing.

Questions practices ask
Where did my listing come from?
From public sources (Google Business Profile data and your own website). If anything is wrong, claim the listing and correct it, or contact us for a change or removal.
Do I have to pay to be listed or to show prices?
No. Listing, claiming and publishing your prices are free. Verified (£19/month) adds the badge, enquiries, gallery and benchmark; it never affects which prices we show or how comparisons are sorted.
Where do your national averages come from?
From the CMA's market investigation data and published practice prices. They're shown for context only; your own figures always take precedence on your page.
We're part of a group — can head office claim several sites?
Yes. One account can hold approved claims for multiple practices. Contact us for bulk claims.
